Provenance: A name held in considerable esteem by 19th c anglers, Andrew Young of Invershin (d 1865) to whom the box was presented, was for many years Tracksman and Manager of the Duke of Sutherland`s celebrated salmon fishery at Invershin, Sutherlandshire. An expert on the Salmon, he wrote, or contributed to several early books on the subject, including The Book of the Salmon (1850) and The Angler and Tourists` Guide ....(1857) Of fine quality and in fine condition
