A George III Silver-Gilt Snuff-Box, by Joseph Ash, London, 1809, oblong, the hinged cover cast and chased with figures in a classical landscape, the sides cast with foliage and shells on a matted ground, the base with simulated basket-weave motifs, later engraved inside with an inscription, 7.5cm wide, 5oz 7dwt A very similar box by the same maker date, with the same scene on the hinged cover was sold Bonhams, 19 June 2013, lot 85. . Fully marked on cover bezel. Further marked on one side with lion passant only. The marks are clear. There is some minor wear and surface scratching. The wear is noticeable as a minor softening to the high point and the gilding.
A George V Silver-Mounted Ram's-Horn Snuff-Mull, by Walker and Hall, Sheffield, 1914, the two natural horns each with plain silver mounts, the body on cast paw feet and with foliage scrolls and flowers, the hinged cover with foliage finial, Together With: A Coffin-Shaped Snuff-Box, probably 19th century, the snuff-mull 40cm wide, the snuff-box 2oz 11dwt (2). The snuff mull is marked on one side, inside cover and on each horn-mount. The marks are generally clear. The horns are very slightly loose in the silver mounts. There are some surface scratches and wear to the mounts, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a minor softening to the high points. There are some bruises to the mounts. The gross weight of the mull is 2,772gr. The snuff-box has some surface scratching, consistent with age and use. It is 10cm wide.
A George IV Silver Snuff-Box, by Edward Smith, Birmingham, 1829, oblong, the hinged cover cast and chased in high relief with a stag hunting scene, depicting three mounted riders and a pack of hounds in a rural landscape pursing a stag, with cast foliage border, the base and sides engine turned, the base further engraved with initials, 10cm wide, 7oz 2dwt. Part marked inside cover and base. There marks have some minor wear but are generally legible. There are some minor surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use.

A 19th century box and contents comprising two telescopes, six Mauchline ware serviette rings, two cheroot holders and various snuff boxes.Condition: telescopes seem ok, drawers working ok, stamps as pictured, lenses fine, only a few spots of dust, serviette rings all seem in good order, couple of snuff boxes with slightly bent hinges, cheroot holders appear ok.
