The cover closes well, and the hinge is in good condition. Some age-related surface wear but generally in good condition.

A George III Silver Snuff-Box, Maker's Mark IT, Birmingham, 1817, oblong and engraved with foliage and with a vacant cartouche, the interior gilt, 80mm wide, 2oz, 18dwt, 90grPart marked inside base and cover. There is some wear to the marks. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to teh engraving. There is a shallow bruise on the cover. 80mm wide by 43mm deep by approximately 30mm high.
