A fine early 19th century Chinese Canton carved tortoiseshell snuff box with panels depicting figures and buildings amongst trees, decorated to all six sides, with gold wire inlay in Greek key pattern to the top face border, the catch and hinge appear to be high carat gold, height 2.6cm, width 6.5cm, depth 4cm (AF).
