Bricklen, Jan.y 10th. 1865 by S.B.", gilt interior and double scroll thumbpiece, 7.3 cm. wide, wt. 77 gm.In good condition, no bruises, good marks.

A silver and enamel snuff boxOf rectangular form, the lid depicting a stately home amongst the grounds, possibly Haddon Hall, with green enamel detail, the gilt interior inscribed to lid, by Cohen & Charles, London 1927, length 4.7cm, weight approx. 1.8ozNB. This box was given by the Duke of Rutland to all who had helped with and towards the restoration of Haddon Hall in the 1920s. Engraved inside 'Mrs Rowland Sept 1927'.
