French 18th Century Magnificent Pressed Horn Lidded Snuff Box, of oval form, circa 1780. The interior with 9ct rose gold bands/rims. The cover with silver pique work to centre and border. Wonderful workmanship/condition. 3.25" - 8.20 cm diameter. The cover closes tightly. Excellent condition, no repairs.
French Superb 18th Century Tortoiseshell and Gold Mounted Hinged Lidded Snuff Box, of wonderful quality and proportions. The central feature is a miniature painting on ivory depicting a classical scene 'Huntress' within a 9ct gold frame. The hinge also of 9ct gold. Measurements: 3.5" - 8.75 cm length, 2" - 5 cm wide. Hinge excellent, closes tightly.
French 19th Century Louis VIIII Silver Snuff/ Trinket Box of stunning quality, having the raised bust of Louis to the lid, with beautiful decoration to the sides, and further to the lid; all the hallmarks are well struck and still clear, with the French showing the Fleur-de-Lys and the letter P for Paris, the English Assay/ London import mark 1893 William Moering. All aspects of condition are wonderful; silver weight 84.25gms, diameter 2.75nches (6.9cms)
