An 18th Century Dutch silver and mother of pearl snuff box, the top panel finely engraved with 'The Sleeping Pedlar Robbed by Monkeys' after Pieter Bruegel, inscribed on verso of lid 'Brueghel inve: 1562. G.A. Forsman. fecit', the serpentine-shaped front panel incised with four dummy drawers, the other four panels richly carved with shells and scrolls. Dijon import marks. 6cm wide good original, one small chip to corner/edge of one pearl panel (see detail image) otherok, meta tarnished, panels clean/bright, single small hallmark to inner lip (too small for image)

(7cm.) long; Tunbridge ware matchbox cover, the top decorated with perspective cube/tumbling blocks geometric design; circular rosewood snuff box, the cover with applied white metal floral and foliate decoration, 3 7/8in. (10cm.) diameter; miniature tortoiseshell travelling trunk/casket form trinket box, the hinged cover with applied white metal plate, 2 3/8in. (6cm.) long. (4) *Condition: All in very good condition, no major splits, very light wear.
Two Continental silver snuff boxes the first with import marks for Boaz Moses Landeck, Chester 1908, of oval form, with repoussé decoration to sides and cover, the sides with floral and foliate design centred by female portrait, the cover with a quadriga chariot, opening to reveal a gilt wash interior, 3 1/8in. (8cm.) wide; together with a shaped triangular snuff box, with plain decoration to cover with rubbed initials, the underside with floral design, unmarked, gross weight 3.8 tr.oz. (2) *Condition: The first good, nothing to note, the shaped version having small dents and wear.
A German porcelain table snuff box late 18th/early 19th century, the lid painted to the interior with a basket of European flowers on a table top, the exterior with osier moulding and a rosebud finial, and a small cane or parasol handle painted in the Kakiemon palette with a bird amidst flowers, the box base rebuilt, 11.5cm max.
