Solid silver Regimental Table Snuff Box. The large snuff box engraved with foliate design. Inscribed to the lid ‘33rd Regiment Sergeants Mess Duke of Wellington Regiment Prize Soldiers Industrial Exhibition for the whole of the Regiments of the Bombay Army, Poona 1866’. The inside lid inscribed ‘Awarded to the Regiment for Pre-eminence at the Exhibition and received at the hands of his Excellency Sir R Napier KCB Bombay with many expressions of commendation for the good example shown to the Bombay Army’. A George III silver snuff box, by Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson, London 1790, of rectangular form with canted corners, bright cut engraved with a flower head to centre of cover and base on a rayed and prick dot background, gilt interior, 5.5cm long CONDITION REPORT: No obvious major fault. Light general wear and a couple of minute knocks and dents. Marks clear.

A William IV silver table snuff box, by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1835, of rectangular form with raised foliate borders and reeded sides and base and leafy scroll thumbpiece, gilt interior, 8.5cm long, 4oz CONDITION REPORT: No obvious major fault. Some rubbing and surface scratches. Detail rubbed to lid. Both engine turned bands and raised foliage.
A Scottish provincial silver mounted cowrie shell snuff box, struck with maker's mark once only, M & C in a rectangular shield, possibly for Milne & Campbell, Glasgow, c.1780, the cover engraved with thistles surrounded by leafy scroll and shell work, also engraved with initials on inside of cover, 9cm long
Scottish provincial Silver Table Snuff Box by William Robb of Ballater, who was engaged as a Silversmith to the Royal Family at the Balmoral Estate. Inlaid with Scottish agates and a central Cairngorms with an engraved Celtic border. Maker's mark in a triangular punch "ROBB BALLATER", Edinburgh Castle town hallmark and Scottish thistle silver mark along with the date letter "A" for c1906 - c1907, approx 260g. William Robb was commissioned on many occasions by King Edward VII and his mother Queen Victoria to make silver for the Royal family and also utilitarian wares for the dress uniforms of the Balmoral Highlanders.
