A George V hallmarked silver snuff box of shaped rectangular form with overall engine turned decoration, centred with rectangular cartouche initialled "WB", the gilt wash interior with presentation inscription "Presented to Bill Bray by his many friends at the NEM Leeds 1937", E.J. Trevitt & Sons, Chester 1924, 7 x 4cm, and a further silver plated example engraved with foliate scrolls and centred with oval vacant cartouche, silver approx 2.1ozt (2). Purportedly given to the vendor's grandfather by Stavros Yanakopulos, Greek Council in St Petersburg and again purportedly given to him by Tsar Nicholas II. CONDITION REPORT: In good condition with light surface wear.
