A Victorian hallmarked silver collared vesta match striker hallmarked London 1894 4.5cm, together with a white metal snuff pot with a monogram to lid 3cm, marks worn tests indicate silver. A white metal trinket box marked Italy having classical scene to lid 4cm. .

A fine late 18th/early 19th century Continental snuff box, the painted panel depicting Catherine, Empress of Russia, inside a yellow metal banding formed on a tortoiseshell body, diameter 6cm.Condition Report: The base has a tiny surface chip to the exterior edge. The gold mounts have tiny areas of wear around the pin holes where the original pins would have held the mounts in place. The inner mount around the enamel plaque is slightly loose. This is still a fine box.
A silver blue guilloché enamelled and hallmarked silver gilt snuff box of rectangular form with rich blue enamel to both the lid and sides, import mark for London 1925, width 8.25cm. Condition Report: Some light surface scratches, free from any chips or losses to the enamel, free from any dents, retaining a good proportion of the gilded interior. The maker's mark is 'TK &CO'.the base is not enamelled

A LARGE VICTORIAN SILVER TABLE SNUFF BOX by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1850, shaped rectangular form with hinged cover, engraved to all sides with scrolling foliage, the lid inscribed John Mowat / Dunecht. 9.3cm wide, 5.4 troy ouncesThe marks are clear. The hinge is in good order, and the cover closes and opens well. In generally good condition.
ATTRIBUTED TO GIOACCHINO BARBERI (ITALIAN, 1772-1857) A LATE 18TH CENTURY GOLD-MOUNTED ABALONE SHELL AND LACQUERED CIRCULAR SNUFF BOX, THE LID INSET WITH AN OVAL MICROMOSAIC SCENE OF AN ITALIAN GREYHOUND FAMILY GROUP the inset micromosaic panel Roman, the mounts with a Paris discharge mark 1768-1774, with later control marks, the oval panel depicting the standing dog and recumbent bitch nursing her two puppies within a silver frame, the gold cage-mounted lacquered box with abalone shell, the interior lined in tortoiseshell. 3cm high, 8cm diameterThe micromosaic is in excellent condition without losses or restoration. A couple of areas on the underside of the base may have been restored but they could also quite easily be flaws in the making. The usual surface wear commensurate with age but generally in very good condition.
