Dublin - An early 19th century silver snuff box, mark of Richard Sawyer, 1811, of rectangular form, underside with decorative foliate engraving, side with bright cut wrigglework engraving, part marked piano hinged cover with foliate engraving around an oval cartouche engraved with crest and monogram, 6 x 3.5cm, 64.6gOverall in fair to good condition with no obvious signs of repair. Some minor surface scratches, dents and dings as to be expected and commensurate with age and use. Cover fits well. Shallow crease and slightly dished centre to the cover, neither immediately obvious, together with a very minor split to the edge of the cover. Corners a little scuffed, the back two corners with minor dents and crushing. Hallmarks clear and crisp.

A Scottish 'blind man' deep carved sycamore snuff box, wooden hinge, the lid with landlady and baby flanked by Souter Johnnie taking a pinch of snuff and Tam O' Shanter raising a glass, the front with dog's head dividing two sheep, the sides with dogs grasping the mouths of the sheep on the front, geometric back and base, with an old ink note explaining the scene, 15.6 x 8 x 7cms.
A very large Scottish 'blind man' deep carved sycamore snuff box, the lid with three seated male figures in a tavern, one taking snuff from a horn, the front with dog's head over two leaping dogs around a carved armorial 'Semper Fidelis', the sides with standing lions, the back with geometric bands. The base carved with two figures at rest, fitted with a lock, 23.5 x 11 x 11.5cms.
