The pierced cover decorated with a Watteauesque scene is reserved on a mother of pearl ground, depicting a seated couple the gent playing a stringed instrument his companion reading and with a peacock between them. The gold interior of the cover is finely engraved with a coat of arms and latin motto 'cara patria carior libertas', 9cm wide. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only.
