There is a small chip on the inner edge of the foot rim. The fabric box lid is detached. Otherwise, overall good condition.
A large rectangular silver snuff box with reeded decoration and raised floral banding all round. Joseph Wilmore, 106g. Birmingham 1837. Presented by Professor Rymer Jones to Richard Oliver in 1837. Professor Jones was appointed the first professor of comparative anatomy at King's College London, in 1836, and was a noted surgeon, zoologist and academic. 7.5cm (3 ins) wide.
