A George III silver vinaigrette, by Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham 1801, of rectangular form with canted corners and a suspension loop, the hinged lid decorated with a leaf border, the gilt-wash interior with a scrolling filigree work grille, 4cm wide, the total weight of the item 23.9 grams; together with another George III silver snuff box marked 'WE' possibly William Eaton, London 1810, of rectangular form, with engine turned decoration, the interior revealing a pierced grille decorated with the union flag and an assortment of musical instruments, 3.5cm wide, the total weight of item 25.4 grams (2)As seen on the Antiques Road Show.The Pemberton has a little rubbing to the fire gilding around the hallmarks in the base section below the grille, the grille is unmarked.The body is free from twists and dents and closes nice and tight it of course shows some small dents but nothing to detract from the objectThe other one has a very slight grin when closed ( less than 1mm ). It has some slight dents to the angles from being carried in a pocket with other items.
