A European rectangular snuff box, gilt within, the hinged cover with engraved decoration, the sides and the base with reeded decoration, probably French, circa 1820 and a lady's silver and blue enameled circular powder compact, fitted with a mirror within, the exterior applied with a Naval crown motif, Birmingham 1929.
A George IV silver and mother of pearl rectangular hinge lidded snuff box, the cover decorated with a group of five figures in a garden setting, otherwise engine turned to the sides and to the base within scroll moulded borders, gilt within, Birmingham 1823. Gross weight 110 gms. Illustrated

A 19th Century Scottish rams head snuff mull The horns tipped with engraved white metal mounts and adjoining open link chains, the head mounted with horn and white metal snuff box applied with thistles, the metal work also mounted with cairngorms and other coloured quartz, height approx. 24cm. NB: The snuff mull was traditionally used as a communal holder for snuff that would sit on a piece of furniture for all to help themselves from. The term mull coming from the word mill.
