A Chinese silver snuff box c.1900, of octagonal form, the hinged lid with a panel decorated in relief with scholars in a garden, the sides with smaller panels with flowers, birds and a butterfly, signed to base, 6 x 4.8cm., weight 2.3 tr.oz.* Condition: In good condition, with just one tiny ding to the edge of the lid, and no other faults. The lid closes crisply.
A French silver tastevin 20th century, with engraved name and spurious 1797 date; together with a Continental silver tot, with chased floral decoration; and a novelty silver snuff box, of book form, unmarked, 7.8cm. long, weight 5.35 tr.oz. (3)* Condition: The tastevin and snuff in good condition, with no faults. The tot has a very small crease just above the base.

A William IV silver snuff box, Birmingham, 1832, William Pugh, of rectangular form, with striated patterns to lid, sides and base and a floral scroll thumbpiece, the lid with applied cartouche engraved with initials opening to gilded interior, 5.5 x 9.1cm, approx. weight 6oz Condition Report: Good overall condition commensurate with age but some wear and damage noted. Some wear to decoration. Wear to engraved cartouche and probable previous erasure here too - nicked and dimpled. Splits to both front corners of lid. Some bruising to all corners. Lid opens and closes cleanly (but does not close snugly so falls open). Gilding slightly faded to interior. Hallmarks clear. Hinge in good condition.

These scratches are stained a brownish colour and would benefit from cleaning. There is some very minor wear to the yellow ground at the corners of the box. On the interior of the cover there is a very small flat glaze chip to the top left corner.
