French box with tiny chip to the rear right corner edge of the cover and shallow graze along the front edge of the cover

A Russian silver and niello oblong snuff box by Sergei Nazarov, Moscow 1891, assay master Anatoly Artsibashov (1891-96), 84 zolotniks, the cover with a view of a tower, the sides and base in a chequered design, 4.3cm (1 3/4in) high, 32g (1 oz). The tower depicted seems to be the Troitskaya Tower (Russian: ???????? ?????, literally Trinity Tower) which is the tallest tower of the Moscow Kremlin with a through-passage in the centre of the northwestern wall. Built in 1495-1499 by an Italian architect Aloisio da Milano (known in Russia as Aleviz Fryazin Milanets), the tower is now the main visitors` entrance into the Kremlin.
An unusual Victorian silver mounted deer slot table snuff box by George Unite & Sons, Birmingham 1878, the three quarter length hinged cover to a textured mount secured to the deer`s hoof, the interior gilt, engraved with a crest, 16.5cm (6.5in) long. The crest was recorded in 1905 for many families, including: ACHELEY, BAIRD, CAMPBELL, DANE, EDNOR, FETTYPLACE, GARDNER, HAGUE, JACKMAN, KELSHAW, LANSLEY, MANSFIELD, and many others.

The crest possibly for LOMBE of Norfolk.
