Naval and Naval Interest: A silver gilt (tested as 925) metal snuff box decorated with repousse work depicting a couple in a woodland setting. Inscribed to Charles Graham from Charles Beresford September 1881. 9cm x 5.5cm weight 103 grams. Admiral Baron Charles William de La Poer Beresford, 1st Baron Beresford (1846-1919) was Commander of the Royal Yacht HMY Osborne (1878-1881) and this box was given to his Lieutenant (later Admiral) Charles Elphinstone Fleming Cunninghame Graham (1854-1917).
