World War One prisoner of War made snuff box and plaque - relating to Captain E. G. Williams whilst in his internment at Gütersloh, the circular sycamore snuff box cover inlaid with wirework depicting the camps outer perimeter fence with foreboding forest in the distance, 4½in. (11.5cm.) diameter, the rectangular wood plaque with central roundel depicting the same scene, with wirework lettering above spelling "GUTERSLOH" and dated below 1914-15-16-17, surrounding the central decoration is eleven applied wirework signatures of Captain Williams fellow prisoners, 7¼in. (18.5cm.) long, together with Boar War - WWI and later Military medal group, comprising of Queens South Africa medal - Capt. E. G. Williams RL. WT. Surrey, medal with single bar Cape Colony; Kings South Africa medal - Capt. E.G. Williams The Queens, medal with two bars South Africa 1901 & 1902; WWI trio - Victory and War medals - Capt. E. G. Williams, 1914-15 Star, inscribed Capt. E. G. Williams Worc: R. with bar 5th Aug-22nd Nov. 1914; The Defense medal, mounted on bar, together with a set of miniatures (lacking The Defense Medal). * Roger Perrot's close friend Caroline Williams, was the daughter of Captain E.G. Williams. The medals and prisoner of war items were left to her by family descent.
An early Victorian novelty Irish souvenir buffalo horn snuff box, fashioned as a wild boar, the realistic box with fine detail, bone tusks, red bead eyes, protruding ears (that seem to be carved not applied) and carved snout, the top of box with hinged lid opening to reveal storage, the underside marked, 'KILLARNEY LAKES', which refers to the National Park in County Kerry, Ireland', 4 ½in. (11.5cm.) long. *Condition: in very good condition, with tiny chips to rear upper plate and main body edge, flat-head screws holding backplate cover with interior wood block, this is not a repair, done in construction.

A Mennecy silver-mounted snuff box c.1750, the sides moulded with basket weave and painted with small flower sprays, the cover moulded with flowers, leaves and an acorn, delicately enamelled in a muted palette, the interior cover with further painted flowers, the silver mount with Paris discharge marks, 6.2cm across.
A Staffordshire enamel snuff box c.1760-65, of unusual serpentine form, decorated to the lid with a bacchanalian scene of a couple cavorting with a carafe of wine, within raised enamel scrolls, the sides with panels of figures in landscapes, the underside with chaffinches above an upturned basket of fruit, with chased gilt metal mounts, 8.6cm across.
