A German silver snuff box, by of Wilhelm Binder, Schwabische Gmund, circa 1890, rectangular with rounded ends, engraved monogram to one corner of cover, the gilt interior fitted with secondary hinged cover which holds in place a snuff spoon by means of a fixed clip, 5.9 cm. long, wt. 39 gm.Cover is a bit stiff and has couple of tiny pinprick dings, shallow bruise to base
A 19th Century tortoiseshell card case with gold Greek Key and honeycomb style borders, with a central cartouche with flora and ribbon, 10.2 x 7.2cm, together with a tortoiseshell and gold inlaid snuff box, 5.3 cm x 3.3 cm and a 19th Century rosewood hinged lidded box set with brass and mother of pearl inlay, 14.8 cm x 8 cm(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Large box - the lock mechanism is broken as a result of probably having been forced so the actual mechanism is off with splintered wood and the pin on the lid is severely bent. Some small chips throughout. Some scratches - general small signs of wear and tear through age and use.Card Case - severe cracking to one side where the case has been held too hard trying to use the mechanism. Some damage around the mechanism also. Top no longer lines up with the bottom correctly. Various light scratches and signs of general wear and tear through age and useSmall box - deep scratch to the lid with some damage around this inlay. Damage also around the hinge with signs of later repair -see images. Various scratches, chips, losses, cracks etc throughout - general signs of wear and tear
A box containing a tortoiseshell picture frame, 17.4 cm x 15.6 cm, an ebony paper knife in the form of an Indian sword tamped "Ebony" to side, a miniature Swedish pot with lid, a 19th Century carved ivory obelisk of small proportions, approx 11 cm high, a carved treen love token inscribed "E.G Year 1817", two brass protracters etc. CONDITION REPORTS Tortoiseshell frame - the shell is coming away at the joints, has surface scratching. There is a crack down one of the longer inside sides. Outside of the frame is wood and the back boards are split. There are some chips and cracks to the interior cushion corners. The paper knife point is rounded and the silver collar is loose and the pin is missing. The pot with lid - the lid is jammed on. there are some splits and chips to the base, the obelisk finial has been off and re-glued. there is some brown marks to its' edge. there are a couple of more visible splits to the twisted column and to the feet. the treen love token has some wear to the edges and some cracks to the supports on the side the year is engraved which have been refilled and some glue spots to the inside edge of all four supports. There is also evidence of glue to the inside of the cut-out section to the centre. The pencil is missing its' hook and there is no lead, very tarnished. The snuff box has several chips to the edge, all items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include surface scratching etc - see images

A George III silver engraved snuff box, by Thomas Richards, London 1813, rectangular form, the cover with a depiction of the Duke of Wellington by a canon, holding a map, with a tent behind and a tree to the left, inscribed 'Vittoria', the base with a peacock in a landscape setting, length 4.8cm, approx. weight 0.7oz.
