Passig geschweifte Form mit aufgewölbtem Boden und Scharnierdeckel. Deckel mit Edelsteineinlage aus braun geädertem Jaspis (wohl Landschaftsjaspis). Umlaufender Profilrand mit graviertem stilisiertem Floraldekor. H. 2,5 x L. 7,2 x B. 6 cm. (Gebrauchsspuren; Deckel partiell gebrochen; Vergoldung partiell berieben). Vgl. A Victorian cut glass claret jug with plated mounts, the main body decorated with monkeys amongst coconut trees and foliage, raised on a star cut circular foot (foot very damaged), 31 cm high, together with a 19th Century Sheffield plate coaster with turned wooden base and embossed rim, decorated with fruit and flowers, 15 cm diameter, together with a 19th Century lacquered and gilt decorated snuff box of elongated D end form, 11.5 cm x 5 cm x 3.5 cm deep, containing a note inscribed "Snuff box and purse belonging to Alexander Logan Fergusson", together with a cut steel and woven miser's purse, a Scottish white metal brooch bearing Fergusson family crest inscribed "Dulcis Ex Asperis" and a wax seal on a paper sheet inscribed "Leeds Crest on a Staff ....."
