A Continental Porcelain Snuff Box, 20th Century, modelled with an anthropomorphic fox creeping up on two sleeping sheep, the base moulded with holly berries and leaves, 3.25ins wide x 2.75ins high The item presents in good condition showing no obvious sign of previous damage or repair. No undue marks, it appears to be relatively free from chips and cracks, although there are one or two marks to the base from firing - please refer to images. A Continental Gilt Metal-Mounted Tortoiseshell Snuff Box, 19th Century, the top with oil painting with figures in a landscape, glazed, within a cast mount of anthemion decoration, 3.75ins x 2.5ins x 1.5ins Provenance: A cut printed BADA label to underside with ink inscription - "Formerly in the collection of the Earl and Countess of Kilmorey". Mounts to lid and edge of base of box are lifting very slightly in places.Right side - vertical crack close to corner edge, top and base. Some very minor chips along the top edge of the base.Left side - vertical crack running down near the front corner edge, and continues along the bottom edge moving from the side to the base about half way along, and then goes up the back edge, coming around to the side edge up to the hinge. Front corner - small chip at the top of this crack. Another vertical crack along the back edge of the lid.Back - top left corner - small repair.Base - light surface scratches and wear particularly along the edges.Inside - some rubbing to the gilding of the mounts.Please refer to extra images to see all of the above

Some very minor surface scratches and nicks to the enamel but no losses. Hinge in good order. Some very minor distortion to the locating flange, but it does not affect the closing and opening of the cover, which is positive. Hallmarks clear and readable. Some wear to the gilding.
