A LIBERTY'S STYLE ARTS & CRAFTS HAMMERED COPPER MIRROR WITH RUSKIN-TYPE POTTERY CABOCHONS, of concave-sided oblong form with studded decoration and hammered short side panels, with four protruding rectangular studded blocks to the four 'compass points' each centred by a mottled turquoise circular cabochon framing a bevelled oval mirror plate, apparently unmarked, 108cm x 8.5cm x 81.5cm high, (42.5in x 3.3in x 32in).
An Augsburg Brass Universal Equinoctial Dial, signed L Grafl, the square horizontal base with floral engraving, plumb bob in folding engraved frame, folding latitude arc graduated 10 degrees-80 degrees, and folding shaped hour ring divided III-XII-I-IX on outside side base, and 3-12-1-9 on inside face, with pivoting rod gnomon, gnomon bar and hour ring hinge, both engraved VI, the central compass with engraved rose, the magnetic deviation indicated by an arrow, the underside of the compass bowl engraved with the latitude of five European cities, including London and Verona, and signed L Grafl (Lorenz Grassl?, 1740 - 1805), the whole piece on three slender turned brass feet, {6.5cm wide}.

Additions to 1814 respectfully dedicated by His Most Obedient Servants W & T M Bardin", with brass engraved meridian circle and paper horizon, upon a mahogany partly ebonised stand with four upswept supports from a multiple knopped stem, on reeded caliper legs with brass caps and castors united by a stretcher, {115cm high} (formerly with glazed compass replaced with solid block).

A General Steam Navigation Company chamber pot, of ornate lobed shape with moulded handle, printed in blue with a sheet floral ground and large reserves on either side comprising a belt inscribed "General Steam Navigation Company, 1824" surrounding the globe with superimposed compass points, the motif repeated inside, diameter of rim 20.3cm, unmarked, mid-19th century.
