A George III silver and coconut shell snuff box, no apparent maker's mark, London 1798, circular form, the hinged cover engraved with a scene of the Scarborough Cliff Bridge with a beach scene behind with ships, and inscribed 'GEORGE VICKERS Grove House Nr. SHEFFIELD LENGTH 344FT. HEIGHT 67FT. SCARBOROUGH CLIFF BRIDGE. B. 14ft', also engraved with a square and compass and a pair of compasses, possibly for a Masonic connection, the underside of the box formed by a carved coconut shell with a face with engraved teeth, diameter 7.8cm. Provenance: purchased from Christie's New York, Import Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art, 21 October 2003, lot 184. The Cliff Bridge, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England spans the valley from St Nicholas Cliff to The Spa, it was completed in 1827. it was built to give easier access to the spa. The bridge has four segmental braced iron arches on plain tapering stone piers with stone abutments, and it is a rare example of a multiple-span cast iron bridge.
A Mid-20th Century American Chrome Cased Open Faced Keyless Stopwatch, and a Prismatic Compass, the stopwatch by Waltham, No. 32265, the cream minute dial with Arabic numerals and subsidiary half-hour dial, contained in plain case marked with government broad arrow to back, and a World War I Venners pattern prismatic compass, mark "MK.VII", with broad arrow and "1916" to back, in leather case
An Ottoman Silvery Metal, Niello and Engraved Table Terrestrial Globe, Late 19th Century, with meridian lines, supported in a crescent shaped mount, supported by a peacock, on tripod stand terminating in hoof feet on circular base, with compass, 12ins high Condition - Two of the legs have very slight play where attached to the base. Each appear to be held with a nut to the underside of the base. All brackets supporting the compass are in good undamaged condition, but two have some slight play. The Niello to all parts appears to be intact. The engraved detail is good. There appears to be a historic solder repair to the lower part of the bracket supporting the globe. There is a circular area above this cutting through a flowerhead to one side and leaves to the other - this might suggest the loss of an element. Weight - 1.020 kg / 32.79ozs

A Victorian archaeological revival Etruscan style shield form brooch, c.1870, with a raised oval boss, decorated with applied twisted wire, bead clusters and pellets with a twisted wire and bead border, the outer frame with rows of graduated beads at the compass points, to a bloomed ground, twisted wire and rows of beads between, glazed locket verso and a concealed hook to a plain pin and 'C' catch, tested as approximately 9ct gold, 44 x 38mm, 11.34gCondition report: Very tarnished.Light surface marks commensurate with its age. Shallow dent to one end of the boss.
