The vesta case also with some light age wear tarnishing and the lid does not close flush. The plated vesta case is worn throughout. The compass with general age wear patina to the exterior, interior with loss of definition to the arrow to the underside of the glass.

Early 19th century pocket compass in gilt case by Abraham of LiverpoolCondition report: Good overall condition, the glass has some light spotting which appears to be under the glass, there is also some light scratching and one small chip to the glass. The case itself retains most of its gilded finish, there is some age related scraching and minor spotting. The mechanism appears to work although seems to stick, so it may require attention.
