WILLIAM LEWIS; an unusual George III hallmarked silver pocket compass with white enamelled dial, originally with outer pair case, London 1800, diameter 5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Once needle allowed to settle it does indeed find north as seen in picture, some corrosion and wear to needle with ferrous-like build up.
A group of gentleman's wristwatches with majority boxed including Citizen, Eco-Drive, Accurist Chronograph, Seiko Chronograph and further loose including Sekonda, Limit, etc, two boxed Woodford pocket watches including skeleton dial example and Bernex with moon phase and yellow metal watch chain, also a WWII period military issued compass with stamped broad arrow and numbered 266355 to reverse. CONDITION REPORT: No guarantee of working order for any of the watches, several are ticking at point of cataloguing, vast majority are quartz movement, general wear throughout, surface scratches, nick, gouges to cases, glass, bracelets etc.
A WWII brown leather flying jacket, unnamed, together with a military pocket compass in leather case, AF, plus a book on the Principles of Flight and another (4)measurements - shoulder to shoulder approx 52cm, pit to pit approx 56cm, shoulder to wrist approx 64cm, the zip on the right arm is quite stiff the others work very well, zips are marked AM with crown and made in England with the word DOT in the middle, the leather is cracked all over through general wear and ageing, no obvious signs of significant damage or repair
A quantity of small collectables, including; a mid-19th century James Houliston ivory pocket thermometer and compass (a.f), a giltwood carved religious figure (20cm high), a pair of mother of pearl and brass opera glasses, a wooden shabti figure (18cm high), a Victorian book containing pressed flowers, two silhouettes, a Finish bronze plaque and sundry (qty). A Benzie 9ct gold and enamelled brooch, designed as three nautical flags and a mast, London 1972, a lava cameo brooch, an agate brooch, a diamond and cultured pearl necklace fitting, a small seal, a gold and diamond set line bracelet, a silver mounted compass pendant, designed as a ship's wheel and a silver gilt and imitation pearl necklace, (8).
A 9ct gold oval pendant locket, two gold clasps, detailed 14K, a silver compass fob, Birmingham 1904, a Blue John stick pin, a silver charm bracelet, further bracelets, a bead necklace, further silver and other jewellery, comprising; five bangles, eight rings, necklaces and chains, a pair of carbuncle garnet set filigree pendant earrings, fifteen further pairs of earrings, six pendants and charms, odd earrings and sundry, (qty).
