A Victorian Coromandel Travelling Vanity Case, containing silver mounted glass and ivory accoutrements, by William Leuchars, London 1881, rectangular, the lid inlaid with a cursive brass complex monogram, opening to reveal a fully fitted interior with hinged side cabinets, abbatant lid and interior drawers, comprising fourteen vessels including those for soap, powder, scent, mantel clock, five piece ivory hair set, "light" match box, wax seal, pen, and twenty-one other small implements including medicine spoon, compass, barometer, tape measure, cork screw, ear scoop, nail buff, and buttons hooks, with a mirror to the lid underside, 41cm wide (case damaged) See illustration

Brass mining dial by T.B. Winter Newcastle on Tyne, No 389 circa 1860, silvered compass dial, 15cm, marked on the outer ring and between the cardinals, two folding sights, levels, gimbal locking pin, the underside with thumbwheel dial rotation, N/S pin, locking screw and needle clamp, in a fitted mahogany box with brass ball and socket neck together with a wooden tripod.
A good early 20th Century Nickel cased combination Pocket Barometer/Altimeter/Compass/Thermometer, the polished case with ring suspension at 12, to a rotating bezel enclosing a twin scale of 22-31, and 0-10000, and verso with silvered Fahrenheit three quarter round scale, with internal silvered compass scale of 0-360, with needle locking button to the bezel, width 2 ¼”
A 20th Century Mahogany framed floor standing Terrestrial Globe, Georama, the 19” Globe within a pivoting brass frame, to a reproduction calendar scale, raised on three reed and baluster legs to a central shaped support, over a further ring turned stretcher centred with 7” compass with paper dial, and blued steel indicator hand, height 45”

A 19th Century Simms brass transit theodolite, the sighting tube mounted on an arc held by an A-frame rotating on a circular base with silvered compass and dial inscribed 'SIMMS LONDON', fitted with two single bubble levels above a vernier scale to the circumference, on a four screw circular base, in its original fitted case applied with a paper label referring to its repair and adjustment by Cooke, Troughton & Simms Ltd, height approx 23cm.
