Tienxi Yi (Unity Under Heaven), within a twenty-four character inscription representing the points of the Chinese compass and four character roundels to the cavetto; the jar decorated in red, green and turquoise enamels with shaped panels of birds amongst flowers and rockwork, the shoulder with Buddhist lions and brocade motifs.
