Including Jack knife, bed roll kit, new testament bible, English French dictionary, silk map, compass, Ointment Anti-Gas, shaking kit, plus other items. All housed in a wooden and Perspex display frame. Measures 61 x 33cms.
A pair of early Victorian terrestrial and celestial 12" globes, by Newton & Son, on mahogany stands, each globe with brass meridian and engraved a polar calottes, bearing a label Newton's New and Improved Celestial/Terrestrial globe, manufactured by Newton & Son, Chancery Lane, London, the stand with engraved calendrical ring, published 1st January 1844, on twin-fluted U-shaped supports, carved column, splay tripod base and spindle stretchers united by a central compass, 86.5cm high Condition Report: Twelve gores. The terrestrial globe with lifting engraving in places and showing signs of creases. Colour darker than the celestial globe. Colour ring on one renewed, the other stained. The meridian mount to one stand missing screw. Otherwise stands in good condition. Please see additional images.
