The hallmarked silver fork and spoon set having its fitted velvet lined case. Hallmarked for London 1943. Makers mark for C W Fletcher & Son Ltd (Charles William Fletcher). A silver pocket watch, stamped for 0.935 silver with Swiss marks. To also include a metal chain with silver T bar and a metal mounted compass. Combined weight approx 234g. Measures approx 14cm x 3.5cm (spoon) / 3.5cm x 1.3cm.

A silver compass and map distance measurer, John Collard Vickery, London 1909, in fitted leather case, 9cm longMinor surface wear. Both instruments working but I cannot say how accurately, the compass certainly seems to be pointing North when checked against the iPhone compass app. The case is intact but worn.

A WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft Cockpit Clock by Junghans, stamped to the movement “J 30 BZ”, dial with luminous markings, hands and subsidiary dial, in later mount and box, can be removed, together with a German marching Reflector Compass, stamped 'G.F.R.' and in leather case, and a quantity of cap badges, Provenance; By family tradition, acquired in Germany during 1945 by Act. Major RM Norman Edward Ricketts who was serving as a ‘Staff Officer Naval Demolitions on the staff of V.A.C.B.N. Germany’ during the lead up to and in the aftermath of the German surrender. Major Ricketts later went on to build a successful career in civil aviation, becoming one of the founders of International Air Bahamas and he was awarded an OBE for services to aviation.
