A Chinese blue and white ginger jar and cover, mid 19th century with shaped preserves of precious objects against a blossoming prunus and cracked ice ground, two concentric rings to the underside. 19 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The lid is in good order and free from any chips, cracks or obvious restorations. One petal does have a small iron oxide spot within the glaze. There is a very fine Y shape hairline crack issuing from the shoulder running through the top right hand panel through the incense tools on the table approximately 9 cm in length. There is also a very fine hairline crack within the glaze where the shoulder has been luted to the body. The crack is visible on both exterior and the interior.
