S.W.` **Sir Dudley Forwood 2nd Bt.1875-1961. He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches. He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 2nd Lancashire Royal Field Artillery and the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Field Artillery. He was invested as a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919. He was Master of the New Forest Buck Hounds between 1950 and 1957.
