Set of eight original vintage airplane maintenance and service poster issued by the RAF / Royal Air Force and prepared by IFVME. 1. Examine - Corrosion, Contamination or Deteriation- artwork features a man on a ladder working on a planes engine, while a large part falls through the corroded metal of the aeroplane and onto the floor. Excellent condition, minor creasing, fold.; 2. Insecurity of Attachment - artwork features a scared man panicking as he hangs off the edge of a cliff by a rope. Excellent condition, minor fold.; 3. Replace - Remove an item and fit a new or reconditioned item - artwork features a soldier fixing a car engine and throwing a car part into the face of another man. Very good condition, minor creasing, fold, small stain on left side.; 4. Inspect - Review the work by tradesman to see that it has been carried out satisfactorily - artwork features a man eating a potato from the plate of a surprised chef. Excellent condition, minor creasing, fold.; 5. Examine - Damage due to external sources - artwork features a man looking out of a broken window with glass on the floor next to a football. Excellent condition, minor creasing, fold.; 6. Examine - Discolouration due to overheating or leakage of fluids - Great artwork features a man with a burnt face covered in soot holding a match and a cigarette next to an exploded barrell of flammable liquid. Excellent condition, minor creasing, fold.; 7. Examine - Distortion - artwork features a man working on machinery being startled by a loud horn. Very good condition, fold, small tears.; 8. Test - Ascertain that a component or system functions correctly by using the approprite test equipment - Great image features a man kicking a box of tools. A set of early Victorian steel and brass mounted fire tools, circa 1840, comprising shovel, poker and tongs, with spiral cut stems and floral grips, the shaped and pierced shovel approximately 77cm longCondition Report: All with marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some tarnishing and pitting to surface. Of polished appearance. Polished deposits in the deeper recesses of the handles. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. A set of Victorian steel and brass mounted fire tools, mid-19th century, comprising shovel, poker and tongs, cast with berried grips, the pierced and shaped shovel 78cm longCondition Report: All implements bear the usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age.There is some light pitting and tarnishing particularly to the ends of the implements, and there is some slight bending to shovel.The tongs may be lacking a stud or ornament to their hinge. The tools were recently polished and are of quite fresh appearance. There are polish deposits of light green colour in the recesses which could presumably be addressed.Condition Report Disclaimer
