46 BC. Obv: head of Juno Moneta right with MONETA behind. Rev: coin dies (some suggest cap of Vulcan over anvil), between tongs and hammer with T CARISIVS above. Sear 447; Cr. 464; Syd. 982; RSC Carisia 1. This coin is one of the very few issues to depict the tools used in coining and is unique in celebrating the Roman mint and moneyer. 2.62 grams. Very fine.

A pale blue glazed composition shabti with finely modelled facial details, false beard and agricultural tools, seed bag to the reverse, dorsal pillar and square base; nine bands of hieroglyphic text to the lower body citing verses from the Book of the Dead, naming the deceased as a priest of Osiris. Private collection, London, UK. 128 grams, 16.5cm (6 1/2"). Fine condition, nose and beard chipped.

Knapped flint tools comprising: a triangular axehead with slightly convex and lightly polished cutting edge showing some wear polish, rounded butt with a double-edged, finely worked scraper with gently curved profile and pointed tip.
