A glazed composition shabti with square base and plain dorsal pillar, tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded across the chest holding agricultural tools and a seed bag to the left shoulder; nine horizontal bands of worn hieroglyphic text from Chapter Six of the Book of the Dead to the lower body. 212 grams, 19.5 cm high (7 3/4 in.). Doppelmaier, Johann Gabriel, Motus in Coelo Spirales Quos Planetae inferiores Venus et Mercurius secundum Tychonicorum Hypothesin exhibent, pro exemplo ad annum Christi praecipue 1712 et 1713, hand-coloured engraved chart showing the motions of the inferior planets in the years 1712 and 1713 as predicted by Tyco Brahe's model, the centre with three putti swinging through the heavens, published by Johann Baptist Homann, Nuremberg, 1742, 49.5cm x 59cm; together with Johann Baptist Homann, Schematismus Geographiae Mathematicae..., hand-coloured engraved chart, apparently based upon the teaching of Dr Schazio, representing contemporary cartographic, celestial, and mathematic teaching tools, Nuremberg, 1753, 46.5cm x 55.5cm, both framed (2)Condition Report: Motus in Coelo Spirales - The sheet may or may not be stuck down as it is unexamined out of the frame. The top right corner is rubbed to the paper and the colours are faded possibly due to water damage, and there is also similar fading to the top left corner. There is brown staining to right of centre above Motus Mercurii. The bottom centre fold is ragged and creased and there is a small hole above and a small tear to the left of the centre fold. The edge of the sheet is protruding through the mount to the lower right. There is a soft diagonal crease to lower left, a harder diagonal crease to upper right and a vertical crease with dirt above. There is some wrinkling and creases to the lower right. There are no annotations and it is not dated.Schematismus Geographiae Mathematicae - The sheet may or may not be stuck down as it is unexamined out of the frame. There is a approx. 4cm tear to the bottom of centre crease and a stain to a top of the centre crease. There is general spotting, particularly to the lower right and to the left side, which also has smudges. There are flattened creases to the centre and ruckling to lower centre. There is a short flattened tear to the lower right margin. There is a diagonal crease to the lower left corner and flattened creases to the right. There are no annotation. The only date mentioned is 1753 in the title.
