The Bentley Azure was launched in 1995 and was based on the platform of the Continental R which had been launched in 1991. The Azure intended to both convey a sense of presence and allow for comfortable seating for four adult passengers. Power came from the company's stalwart 6.75 litre, V8 featuring a single intercooled turbocharger. The gearbox was a General Motors sourced four-speed automatic unit with the Azure capable of 0-60mph in an impressive 6.1 seconds. Owing to the limited space at Bentley's Crewe factory, the Azure was designed and manufactured by Pininfarina, significantly adding to the vehicle's production cost. This lovely example of this sublime model is presented in what is arguably the best colour combination of Black coachwork over a matching black leather interior and black electric hood. The interior is in very presentable condition which belies its age! The odometer reads a modest 63,100 miles and the car comes with an Mot test certificate with no advisories, valid until November 2024, along with a good history file, with many bills and invoices, including the original Bentley booklet with a stamped service book and various maintenance books. Also included with the car are the all-important Bentley umbrellas, tools, wool over mats, and two keys. Recently the Bentley has been treated to much cosmetic restoration and detailing prior to sale and as such it looks superb! These Bentleys are so elegant and particularly when the hood is down, its lines still take your breath away and this rare Mulliner wide body example is no exception. Interested parties should note that the registration number is not included with the vehicle and an age related number will be assigned to the vehicle following a successful sale. The BMW E12 is the first-generation of the 5 Series executive cars, which was produced from 1972 to 1981 and replaced the saloon models of the BMW New Class range. Initial models were powered by inline-four engines, using either a carburettor or fuel-injection. A year after launch, the first model powered by a straight-six engine was introduced. By the final years of E12 production, most models used a straight-six engine. The E12 was replaced by the E28 5 Series in 1981, although the tools were sent to South Africa where E12 assembly continued until 1984.Presented in yellow with beige interior trim this example was first registered on 27th February 1979. Imported from South Africa our vendor has fitted a Webber twin choke and had the car tuned by DB Engineering in Newington. The car comes with its original twin Solex carbs and airbox. Offered with a part history, with sensible mileage for a car 45 years old, it is MoT and Tax exempt. Consigned by Mathew PriddyGuide Price £7,000-£10,000
