Four various implements with polished stone terminals, possibly onyx / agate, these are possibly architectural stone/plaster masons' tools-London architects in the 1840's needed to show they could design in small scale columns/statues-decorative frieses etc in plaster, these same models were like display pieces which complement his architectural property designs/plans

A beautiful early 19th Century Chinese antique black lacquer sewing box / work box / writing box of cushioned octagonal form with folding handles to sides. Stunning decoration with gold leaf panels depicting figures and buildings with repeating geometric patterns. The hinged lid opening to reveal a fully appointed interior with lift out tray having sectional compartments containing an assortment of ivory tools including needle cases, hemming clamps, thread holders, bobbins, pin cushions and more. Drawer to base with writing desk section. Raised on gilded wooden feet. A truly impressive example. Measures: 16cm x 33cm x 24cm.
