An Edwardian oak bank of sixteen short drawers, each with cusped handles, enclosing various tools and accessories, height 122cm, width 61cm, depth 45.5cm.Additional InformationGrubby throughout with the front part of the plinth base lacking. The right hand plinth section is loose. Cusped handled discoloured throughout. Old worm holes to the right hand side which has been treated but may need additional attention. The piece is in ‘barn find’ condition and will need attention to fix the base, clean etc. The drawers are dovetailed.
A matched canteen of 19th century Hamburg silver flatware of shaped and scrolled design with engraved initials 'G.T.', comprising seventeen dessert spoons, eighteen serving spoons, three serving tools, seventeen dessert forks, eighteen teaspoons, four mustard spoons, eighteen table forks, a ladle and fifteen silver bladed sheath handled knives, various makers, the canteen with later plaque inscribed 'H.A.C. 30th July 1901', weighable approx 170.56ozt/5305g (excluding knives), also a group of stainless steel bladed knives.
An inert WWI German 37mm pompom shell, the base dated 1915, and a similar British shell, the base stamped “EDC”, both mounted with post WWII British cap badges (REME and RA beret), GC; also two 12 bore bench mounting reloading tools: one loader/capper/turnover tool, the other just turnover.
