Samuel Deacon, Barton. A George III mahogany and oak long case clock, the square enamel dial painted with floral spandrels, Arabic numerals, date aperture, eight day two train movement with bell strike, the hood with broken arch pediment, raised on brass caped fluted columns, the case door inlaid with shell paterea, flanked by quarter pilasters, with pendulum, no key, 203.5cm high. N.B. Samuel Deacon was born in Leicestershire in 1746 and was head of the celebrated family of watch and clock makers working at Barton-in-the-Beans from 1771 until 1951. Leicestershire Museums have a collection of his clocks and workshop tools, etc,. He is well documented.

An early 20th century Parian ware figure of a seated young lady in period costume, with kitten at her feet and a basket containing skeins of wool, on an oval base, green anchor mark to the base, height 18.5cm, three other Parian ware figures to include a seated naked young boy taking thorn out of his foot, a Greek sculptress with sculpting tools in hand and partially finished bust of a head and a bisque figure of a hunter in Classical garb holding a knife and carrying a slaughtered lamb, standing on a rocky outcrop to a circular base with acanthus leaf decoration, hand painted and gilt-heightened, lozenge date mark to the back and 'Astrican', height 23cm (4).
