dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Paris, Octagonal, rifled, 12 mm cal barrels, with refreshed bluing, signed 'F.ni par Gastinne Renette a Paris', numbered '1' and '2', engraved base, with foresight; blued tangs, engraved and with rear sight; forward spring locks finely engraved and blued as the hammers. Half, wooden stocks carved with floral motif and checkered butts. Blued and engraved iron mounts. Trigger guard with finger support. Kept in their wooden case lined with green cloth with Gastinne Renette stamp in gold with all tools. Missing key. length 42.5 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Paris, Rifled, octagonal, 12,5 mm cal. barrels, in very fine damask, with Liege test bench, smooth steel base engraved with flowers, foresight; tangs with engravings and foresight. Forward spring lock decorated en suite and signed 'Lepage' and 'a Paris'. Half wooden stock, butt with grooves. Trigger with set trigger, engraved iron mounts, trigger guard with finger support. Kept in its wooden case lined with burgundy velvet, stamp 'LEPAGE A PARIS', and with tools (the key and some tools are missing). length 40 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Scotland, Octagonal, smoothbore, damasked, 14 mm cal. barrels, signed 'CAMPBELL GUN MAKER GREENOCK', engraved base, foresights; finely engraved tangs with rear sight; forward spring lock decorated en suite and signed 'CAMPBELL'. Wooden stock with finely engraved iron trigger guard. Escutcheon at the back. Wooden ramrod with brass mounts. Kept in their wooden case with brass mounts, lined with burgundy velvet and with a few tools. Missing key. length 39.5 cm.
dating: 1836 provenance: Paris, Rifled, octagonal, 13 mm cal. barrels, in very fine damask, signed in silver 'Devisme breveté à Paris' among silver decorations, also the staves at the corners in silver, the first part engraved and numbered '1' and '2', precision front sight, underneath marked and dated 'LECLERC', 'PARIS', with Leclerc mark 'LC', star-shaped mark, date 'AN 1836' and no. '156' e '15?' (the last digit not readable); perfect bores. Engraved tangs, with rear sight and numbered '1' and '2'; forward spring lock signed 'Devisme' on a black background and framed with rich floral engravings; briarwood half-stocks finely carved at the fore-end cap and around the butt-plate, micro-checkered butt. Iron mounts engraved en suite, trigger guard with finger support and triggers with integrated set trigger. Kept in their wooden case lined with green cloth, with all quality tools and the key. See 'Der Neue Stockel', vol.1, page 291. L.F. Devisme is documented in Paris from 1834 to 1859, he received a silver medal in 1839 and 1841 in the great industrial exhibition. length 41 cm.
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Wiesbaden, Rifled, octagonal, 10 mm cal. barrels, signed 'FR. JAEGER HOFBÜCHSENMACHER WIESBADEN' and numbered '1' and '2', silver frames at the base, about 90% of the original bluing, precision front sight, also the tangs are numbered en suite, engraved and provided with adjustable rear sight; elegant forward spring locks outlined at the margins and on the hammers, horn drum; wooden half stocks, partially sculpted with leaves, grooved butts. Iron mounts decorated en suite, trigger guards with finger support. In their large wooden case covered with green cloth and with brass mounts, provided with a wide range of tools, complete except for the key. Fine quality pistols with case and a wide range of tools. For Friedrich Jaeger see 'Der Neue Stöckel', vol. I, pag. 583. Jaeger was from Bad Ems and was documented in Wiesbaden from 1846 to 1887. length 40.5 cm.
dating: 1881 provenance: London, Smooth, round, 12 gauge barrels (perfect bores), refreshed bluing, marked on the rib 'J. Purdey & Sons Audley House South Audley Street London', engraved base, under the barrels marked 'SLEEVED' (prolonged), 'NOT FOR BALL', '12' and with various marks. Lock plate signed 'J. Purdey & Sons' with fine floral engravings. The tang decorated on the sides with foliage in bas-relief, the rest engraved en suite and fitted with an opening lever marked 'PATENT', safety lock with a gold mark 'SAFE'. The receiver underneath marked 'PURDEY PATENT' among foliage. Engraved and blued trigger guard. Two-piece stock in fine briarwood, checkered fore-end and grip. Fore-end and trigger guard with coeval serial no. '110xx'. Kept in a wooden case with brass mounts. Some tools. Complete with a company letter confirming that this gun was made by Mr. Woolster in 1881. length 116 cm.
dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Belgium, Octagonal, rifle, 10 mm cal. barrel with gravity magazine. Steel frame, finely engraved with racemes and with cartouche 'JONGEN FRERES A LIEGE'. Grooved and carved wooden butt, engraved trigger provided with finger-rest, iron butt-plate. In a wooden case (re-lined at the inside), provided with some tools and a key. length 37,5 cm.
