A rare gentlemans stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner bracelet watch, circa 1966, ref. 5512, having a signed black dial with silvered font and tracking, luminous markers and Mercedes hands, automatic movement, Oyster case with 60 minute rotating bezel, the case further numbered 818677, with original Rolex Oyster Submariner bracelet (loose) with flip-lock clasp and extension, dia. 3.9cm (excluding crown), no box or papers Condition Report / Extra Information In running order.Appears well worn.Strap currently loose and with lots of play.Glass with numerous minor surface scuffs.Dial and all lettering very clean.There is some discussion as to whether the font is silvered or gilt, and buyers must decide this for themselves.Bezel lacking indicator at 12 o'clock.The whole with consistent age wear.We do not have the tools or expertise to remove the back cover for images.

Short tangs, provided with rear-sight and marked '1' and '2'; beautiful locks, engraved and gilded with floral motifs; briar-root stocks sculpted with floral motifs and checkered at the neck; iron mounts, engraved and gilded en suite. Kept in a fine, briar-root case with blue-velvet lining complete with tools and keys. , length 28 cm.
