An early 20thC Meissen dentist figure group, modelled as a dentist standing holding a tooth, behind a table displaying an assortment of tools and a monkey, a harlequin figure to one side, the patient seated to the other side holding a bowl on scroll moulded base, blue crossed swords and incised 186, numbered 51/53, 20cm high.

Approx 30cm long, it’s an exact reissue of the original produced by the same tools and moulds, litho detailed in orange, blue and green with rider and character passenger. AN IMPRESSIVE PROTOTYPE BB / .177 SEMI-AUTOMATIC / SINGLE-SHOT PNEUMATIC AIR PISTOL, designed, procured and built by Mr D. Moore between 1975 and 1981, using .177 Diablo pellets for single-shot and BB in semi-automatic eight-shot mode, with 8in. smooth-bore sighted barrel mounted above the manual straight push/pull type pump, the frame constructed of mild steel, the air chamber contained within the main frame, grip and receiver, teak bird`s head grips, in original fitted case containing spare parts, tools, oil etc., coloured owner`s manual, quantity of engineering drawings, plans and letters to Crosman and Benjamin.

A rare Lancashire wheel cutting engine. Unsigned, late 18th century . The brass cutter frame with pivoted vertical movement of the cutter against an adjustable screw-stop, mounted onto the substantial box frame via a screw-adjusted horizontal slide, the 13.5 inch brass circular index plate with thirty-one original division rings ranging from 84 to 200 (two further rings have been added to the inside edge) with sprung detent for locking the plate mounted to one side, the index plate arbor passing through the frame to hold the work, the whole on four down-curved spiked supports, length of frame 51 cm. The overall design, can be compared to an engraving of an English wheel cutting engine published in Enderson,William The Principles of Mechanics, 2nd edition 1758 (see Crom, Theodore R. Horological Shop Tools 1700-1900 page 634), a similar engine is illustrated in Crom, Theodore R. HOROLOGICAL WHEEL CUTTING ENGINES 1700 to 1900 page 93.
