PURDEY & SONS A MAGNIFICENT PAIR OF 12-BORE ROUND BODIED SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR GUNS, NOS. 29751/29752 28-inch chopper-lump barrels with 2 3/4-inch chambers about 1/4 and 1/2 choke borings, the rounded frames, locks and gold numbered top levers with fine bouquet and scroll engraving and retaining virtually all their original hardening colour, the maker`s name signed in gold, side clips, gold lined cocking indicators, articulated front triggers, rolled edge trigger guard, 15 1/4-inch highly figured exhibition grade stocks including leather covered recoil pads, 6lb. 11oz., nitro proof, in their magnificent brassbound oak and leather presentation case with tools, accessories, etc. The maker confirms that the guns were completed in 1999 and that they are one of the first pairs of their newly introduced round body design. The guns appear virtually unused and retain all of their original finish.*
