A Large and impressive Persian Isfahan carpet, having central foliate and lobed Arabesque motif to the red ground quartered field, multi bordered with cropped fringe, 872 x 504cm. This carpet had been previously in situ at Highclere Castle, Newbury and had been donated to charity so that the filming of the ITV period drama Downton Abbey could commence.
