A Caucasian carpet, the centre field with repeating floral and foliate design in light red, blue and cream on a dark blue ground, within pale red, blue, brown and cream borders, 312 cm x 247 cm CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear and dirt, some losses to ends and fringing, large areas of the carpet have the pile completely worn away with the structure showing, there are a few areas (possibly which have been beneath furniture) which do have pile remaining - please see photos for examples, quite a lot of dirt and stains, some losses and fraying to sides.
Lot 348
A Caucasian rug, the central cream medallion with four leaf-shaped motifs on a blue stylised floral decorated ground, within red, blue, cream and mustard stylised floral decorated borders, 188 cm x 129 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has wear, dirt and stains, losses to ends and fringing missing, some fraying to sides, quite a few patched in repairs including large patched in and re-coloured area to one end and several patched in areas to the body of the rug, and some areas where structure of carpet is showing, however overall the wear appears fairly even, and although it has some fading the colours overall are generally reasonable, and rug for the most part appears still reasonably sturdy.

A Shiraz carpet, the five central diamond shaped lozenges in pale red, blue, cream, madder and yellow on a blue patterned ground within pale red geometric borders, within cream, madder, yellow and blue geometric and stylised medallion decorated borders, 298 cm x 200 cm CONDITION REPORTS Carpet has wear, dirt and stains, some wrinkles and undulations, various patched in repairs and re-colouring, and some small holes, pile fairly worn and some of the structure is showing through, however there is still some pile remaining generally, some fading however colours appear reasonable, there are losses to ends and fringing is missing, some irregularity to shape, some areas have worn very thin.

A Persian carpet, the central medallion in dark blue, cream, yellow and salmon on a red floral decorated ground, within dark blue, mid blue, red, cream and yellow floral decorated borders, 385 cm x 287 cm CONDITION REPORTS Some irregularity to shape of the edges, overall with some wear, some areas with the structure showing through slightly, generally however has a reasonably good amount of pile, has some slight fading but overall colours are still good (please see photos for examples), losses to fringing.

A Persian carpet, the central medallion in shades of blue, red, cream, green and mustard on a red floral decorated ground with cream, duck egg blue, red, mustard and madder floral decorated corners, within red, blue, green and cream floral decorated borders, 423 cm x 308 cm CONDITION REPORTS Areas / patches of carpet wearing thin throughout. Some loose theads towards the edges. General wear and tear and some faint but darker coloured stains.

A Bokhara carpet, the centre salmon field with repeating medallions in taupe, blue and cream within cream, taupe, blue and black borders, signed to corner, 273 cm x 189 cm CONDITION REPORTS General wear, dirt and some stains. Fading. There is more fading to one half of the carpet than to the other. A small repair / area of loss of pile approx 2cm long. Generally appears to have a good amount of pile.

A Persian design carpet, second half 20th century. 108 ins x 160 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The carpet is a little worn in places. You can clearly see where the pile has rubbed through to the weave underneath. This wear is fairly uniform and not confined to one particular area. The colours are generally strong and the carpet is useable but as stated it is a little worn hence the estimate.
Lot 877
A large Persian carpet, with purple ground. 15' 2" x 12'. CONDITION REPORT: The carpet is not faded. The colours are universal and generally very strong. There are one or two surface stains which should be visible from our images. The main problem however is that the carpet has been cut along the line at the top.
