Tabriz (?) carpet, north west Persia about 1930-50, 9ft.4in. x 6ft.9in. 2.85m. x 2.05m. Overall uneven wear, small cut field upper right, small tear upper right edge, small stains. Together with an Afghan ‘Chobi’ carpet, Afghanistan, modern, 7ft.2in. x 5ft.10in. 2.18m. x 1.78m. The centre of production for these carpets is Lahore, with other weaving centres in Peshawar and elsewhere in the north west frontier area. (2)
