The top right hand corner there is a 6cm x 5cm square replacement. Working down the left side there is a small 3cm x 1cm repair on the border followed by a 20cm stitched split with further 20cm stitched repair and a 3cm border repair and other smaller repairs to the edge. The bottom left corner has been replaced by a patch of approx 9cm x 7.5cm, the bottom edge again has numerous repairs varying in size the notable ones being 8cm, 7cm & 13cm. There is a small area approx 60cm from the bottom right hand corner where there are numerous repair stitches very close together. The bottom right hand corner has been replaced with a 5cm x 5cm square patch. Working along the right hand side there are some small repairs to the outer border and there is one tear approximately 8cm length which has been re-stitched. The centre field of the carpet appears to be in good order and free from any excessive wear with no signs of any tears or repairs. All the outer borders are worn along the outer left and right hand sides the borders along the bottom and top of the carpet are slightly better.
An antique Persian design rug, with centre rectangular panel and multiple line border, with dark blue ground. 218 cm x 137 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The fringes to both ends are either very short or missing. There is a 41cm long by 1cm wide strip of border missing on the right hand side. Within the missing patch there is a 30cm strip with no decoration. One corner is missing a very fine strip around its edge. There are small patches of light thread showing through the lower left hand side edge. The borders are a light salmon pink colour and are rather faded but not overly so. The carpet as obviously laid beneath a table has the main field is bright and colourful and appears to be free from any restorations. A lot of the damage if not all can be seen on our web images.
A Turkoman rug, last quarter 20th century, fringed ends, the centre rectangular panel with five rows of repeating geometric designs and with multiple line border, principal colours dark blue, beige and light blue. Width 204 cm, length 295 cm excluding fringes (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: We are not able to provide the approximate knot per square inch. We believe the carpet to be in excess of 50 yrs old but less than 100 yrs old.
A fringed Wilton style carpet, with Paisley pattern repeating line border. 362 cm x 248 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The fringes at both ends vary in size with one end having a 20 cm section of the fringe missing. The borders show some light wear but the main field appears to be in good decorative order with no obvious faults visible.
A Persian silk rug, hand woven with a tree of life design on an ivory ground within a conforming main border stripe with two guard stripes. 232 cm x 148 cm excluding fringes (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: From a distance the carpet looks to be in good clean order throughout but on close inspection the lower quarter is littered with numerous small stains. There are some circular depressions similar to that which a table would make which leads us to believe that this is mostly likely spent its life partially beneath a coffee table and the staining along the bottom and top quarter are most likely spillages. I cannot see any tears or repairs. There is the odd loose thread within the red border. A good professional clean may remedy this carpet from its issues.
An Eastern runner, the centre rectangular panel with repeating diamond pattern to red ground and with multiple line border. 388 cm x 89 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are no obvious visible tears or repairs. The fringes are very short. There are obvious blatant stains visible. The colours are rather muted, there is no distinctive odour with this carpet.
