An antique Heriz carpet, North West Persia, the madder field with angular vines, leaves and flower heads centred by an indigo cruciform medallion framed by ivory spandrels, enclosed by indigo palmette borders, with metal engraved 'Customs and Excise' import label attached at lower right end of carpet, imported over 50 years ago, 350 cms x 190 cms.
