A Chinese carpet, circa 1930, the indigo field with a circual central medallion filled with stylised dragons, pots and vases of flowers and butterflies, within an ivory border with flowering scrolling leafy vines and blue medallions, 385 x 260cmCondition report: Pile good with areas of very slight wear. A small amount of knotheads (white spots) visible. Small blue ink stain on flatwoven end strip. Some staining including food stains and a bit of paint. No tears or repairs. Some minor undulation, wear and pale threads visible to binding of longest edges. Fringing is trimmed short at both ends and has wear, fraying and some losses. A Mohajeran carpet, approximately 353 x 260cmCondition Report: Some wear overall. Some patches of additional wear to central field. Longest edges have been re-bound at some point. They have some wear and small losses. Fringing has been replaced. The new fringing has been stitched into the guard stripe and the join is visible as the pile of the replacement section is lighter in colour. Fringing with wear, fraying and some losses.
