1972 MG B RoadsterMake: MG Model: B RoadsterYear: 1972Mileage: 84550VIN: GHN5292354GConfiguration: Right Hand DriveRegistration: EAD283LTransmission: manual1,798cc. Described by the vendor as a pretty car that has been subject to an earlier restoration and has spent several years off the road. We have been advised that the chassis is solid, that the floor pans, boot, sills, bottom of the doors have no obvious rust issues. Items previously replaced include the fuel tank, sender unit, copper brakes pipes, oil cooler, carpet set and door trims. The chrome is described as good overall. During the vendor's ownership since 2021, he has renewed the steering column U/J, track ends, ignition, changed the oil and filter, spark plugs and points. Recently it benefits from two new front tyres and new Fullex door seals. Fitted with Rostyle wheels. Driven 50 miles to the auction, the vendor advises that the gear changes, synchros, rear axle all appear good with no 'clonks' or 'bangs'. The car would benefit from some TLC and some work to improve. For example, the overdrive is not currently working, the fuel gauge is erratic and the drivers door lock is temperamental. Comes with current V5 and some receipts dating from 2021. The mileage is recorded at 84,550. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR VIDEO PRODUCED 8TH AUGUST BY ACA OF THIS CAR.

The odometer shows 90,706 miles. The Rover comes with an extensive history folder that includes the current and previous V5Cs, the owner's handbook and maintenance manual, and a large stack of invoices showing a lot of care, attention and expenditure in recent years. The bills include ones for a water pump in May 2022, full carpet set in October 2017 and an engine strip and decoke, replacement of hydraulic tappets and unleaded head conversion in March 2015. There's also a dating letter from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, old tax discs and a workshop manual. The MoT certificates date from 1989 to 1991, 1993 to 1998, 2000 to 2001, 2004 to 2008, 2010, 2013 to 2015, 2017 and 2022. A handwritten summary by the owner of work carried out over the course of most the 21st century (so far) completes what is a very comprehensive file of paperwork.
